Fairy Wings

These fairy wings were found under a tree in my yard; I've come to the conclusion that fairies shed their wings in Spring, and grow new ones before Summer. and then in Fall they gather all of the tree leaves to line their nests. And they hibernate in Winter, while Old man Winter covers the ground with frost and snow.

small statues

I made these a few years ago out of polymer clay. I would have made the God a little more...anatomically correct, but my younger siblings have a nasty habit of looking through my things. My little brother even found them and asked why I had made a booby doll. :p I was kind of embarrassed, I don't even remember what I told him. I can't put them out in the open, but I like to know that they're there.

Notebooks

I don't know what it is, but I have this strange urge to have loads of notebooks around me at all times. Sometimes I never even use them, but I love having paper around me.
I made these with brown wrapping paper, printer and lined paper, and embroidery thread to bind it.
And I used one rub on butterfly, I liked how it looked on the brown paper; like it was an old notebook, or something.

Futhark Rune Bracelet

I had made some rune tiles the other day, when I thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to have a rune bracelet?"
I wanted to make it look like bone, but I think it looks more like wood. I mixed white, brown, translucent, and a little orange.
I rolled out 1/2 in snakes and cut inch long logs. I made them into squares and carved the runes into the clay.

I used a sewing needle and poked holes in the top and bottom of the clay, then I baked them.
After that, I used silvery blue embroidery thread to connect the  tiles. I had to remove Thurisaz and Hagalaz, because they made the bracelet too big for my wrist.
I added three bind runes for mind power, academic brilliance, and returning ill will to the originator.
I was hoping that the bracelet will be a conversation piece for when I go to school this fall; as well as a protective amulet.

Mortar and Pestle

Grinding rose hips is a serious forearm workout.

 This is the halfway grinding.
 What it is right now.
What I'm trying to get it to be...my hands hurt.

Star Tiles

I can't seem to get a good picture of these, probably because of the flash and the glittery green paint.

Anyway, I've made these tiles as my own personal divination runes...tiles...things.
The main runes are the planetary symbols, and the elemental symbols; they represent the things I should focus on and the traits that should help me work on my problem.
And seasonal and moon phase tiles for time line. And then a sun, moon and egg symbol, that represents man, woman and child.

It took forever to make them (not really, it probably only took an hour and a half, but I'm super impatient when it comes to crafting.) I made 24 tiles from white polymer clay. Then I painted both sides bark brown (like a tree, I didn't misspell dark), and painted on the symbol in glitter green.

Lunar Eclipse at 2:20 pm (in N. America)

I just have to say that I am so grateful that I live in a time that I, a girl in North America, can watch a lunar eclipse that will only be visible in The Southern Hemisphere. I probably won't be able to watch it live, but I will be able to watch it on Youtube's Google channel (not an advert) maybe an hour after it has happened.
I'm just glad that I live in Technologies Golden Age, where I can be here, but also be there (in a sense) at the same time.
Blessed Be. :)

Finished Book Of Shadows

Woo Hoo! Today is a momentous day, people! I have just finished my first Book of Shadows! And no doubt, I will still add  a few things here and there; but I am hoping to start on my second Book of Shadows soon.
I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to add, because I have already included the basic information in my first BOS. Do I re-add the basic stuff, or do I just add any stuff that I didn't put in the first BOS?

Books of Shadows

These are my Books of Shadows, the two green ones are the actual information BOS's, and the black one with the pink ribbon is my spell book. They are called Hidden Deep, Owl's Wisdom, and Galdrabok. They are store bought. I hand sketched the bear and owls; but they are both designs from Deviantart.

Altar Bell

A few years ago I tried to make an Altar bell with polymer clay...I burned it, but it wouldn't have worked anyway. So this is my second try; I used a fan balancer, a wick holder, half a chop stick, and two wooden beads, all held together with hot glue and string. It sounds surprisingly bell like, so I'm happy with the result.

Elder Futhark Runes

I use the Elder Futhark runes, as apposed to others, because I am of Norse decent. I don't really like to use divination techniques, because I feel that the future should not be known by any but the Gods. But, I like to make my own magickal items, and something compelled me to make these Runes today.
I used white polymer clay and carved the symbols into them before baking them. I painted the symbols black afterwords. I also made a hand stitched bag out of starry material that I had from another project.
